NEWS AND EVENTS
MARCH 6, 2014 -- LGWCD ELECTION OF SUPERVISORS -- In accordance with the requirements of the Loxahatchee Groves Water Control District's enabling legislation, please be advised that the Loxahatchee Groves Water Control District will be holding its election of Supervisors in conjunction with its Annual Landowners Meeting on the fourth (4th) Monday of June, which is June 23, 2014.
In order for a person to be elected as a Supervisor of the District, that person must notify Susan Bucher, the Supervisor of Elections of Palm Beach County, of his or her intent to be elected as a Supervisor at least ninety (90) days prior to the Annual Landowners Meeting. The last day for any candidate to announce their intention to be elected as a Supervisor of Loxahatchee Groves Water Control District is March 25, 2014.
MARCH 5, 2014 -- NOTICE OF MEETING CANCELLATION -- Please be advised that the regular Board of Supervisors meeting scheduled for Monday, March 10, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. has been CANCELLED.
JANUARY 27, 2014 -- NOTICE OF EXCAVATION OF NORTH "E" ROAD CANAL -- Please be advised that the excavation of North "E" Road Canal, adjacent to the Palm Beach County Nature Preserve, commenced the week of January 27-31, 2014. The District is undertaking to notify the residents and particularly the equestrian community that the equestrian trail along the west side of the County Preserve will be closed for approximately two (2) months. The District, in coordination with Palm Beach County Environmental Resources Management (ERM), will also install signs to notify the equestrians that the equestrian trail will be temporarily closed. The District has also notified Nina Corning, Chair of the Town's Roadway, Equestrian Trails & Greenway Advisory Committee, and Marge Herzog, Chair of the Loxahatchee Groves Landowners' Association.
